Answer:

The Indian landmass has a central location between East and West Asia. India is a southward extension of the Asian continent. The trans Indian Ocean routes which connect the countries of Europe in the West to the countries of East Asia provide a strategic central location to India.

The central location of India at the head of the Indian Ocean has a great significance because from this location it is very easy to transport things. I mean import and export of products. It will make countries like U.S.A etc. It will help for our financial condition. As the sea route is cheapest mode of transport many people travel using this route.
