The area of a rectangular plot is 308 sq m and its breadth is 11m. Find the length of the plot and the cost of fencing at the rate of Rs. 7.50 per metre.​

Given :-

Area of rectangular plot = 308 m²

breadth (b) = 11 m

Cost of fencing on the 1 metre land of this rectangular plot is 7.50 Rs.

Have To Find Out :-

length of this rectangular plot and the cost of fencing at the rate of 7.50 Rupees/metre.

Using Formulas :-

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

perimeter of rectangle=2×(length+breadth)

Solution :-

Area of rectangular plot = 308 m²

length × 11 = 308

length × 11 = 11 × 28

length = 28 metre

Now ,

perimeter of rectangular plot

= 2(length + breadth)

= 2(28 + 11)

= 2 × 39

= 78 metre

Cost of fencing on the 1 metre land = 7.50 Rs

then ,

the cost of fencing on the 78 metre land of this rectangular plot

= 78 × 7.50

= 39 × 2 × 7.50

= 39 × 15

= 585 metre

Result :-

length of this rectangular plot = 28 m

The cost of fencing on this rectangular plot is 585 rupees.
