Answer:

Distance between building and watchtower = 20√3m

Difference between height of building and the tower is 20 m.

Solution:-

Height of building = 60 m

Angle of elevation = 30 degrees

Depression of height = 60 degrees

Height of building is denoted as AB and height of watchtower is denoted as DE.

tan 60=(AB/BE)=60/BE

BE=60/√3=20√3m

Distance between building and watchtower =20√3m

To find difference in height of the buildings:tan 30=h/20√3 1/√3=h/20√3

Height, h = 20 m

Difference between height of building and the tower is 20 m.
