The reaction in which acid and base are mixed to form a neutral salt and water ...is called as NEUTRALIZATION REACTION

(or)

The reaction between acid and base which results in the formation of Neutral salt and water is called NEUTRALIZATION REACTION

Ex :

NaOH + HCl ---------> Nacl + H20
