No answer. "Tom Surveyed his last touch with the eye of an artist, then he gave his brush another gentle sweep and surveyed the result as before " Ben ranged up alongside him. Tom's mouth watered for the apple but he stuck to his work. Ben said ......

Tom was fascinated by the thought of playing outside and enjoying his day but on getting the work of Whitewashing the fence as a punishment by Aunt Polly. He was very disappointed. Introduction :-

"Tom Whitewashes A Fence" is a story about the mischievous young boy Tom Saywer, who tricks his friends to do his punishment of painting the fence given by aunt Polly which was written by Mark Twain.

Solution :-

"Tom Surveyed his last touch with the eye of an artist, then he gave his brush another gentle sweep and surveyed the result."

He got his friends to whitewash the fence by manipulating them and saying it was easy and fun to do. Tom was a very lazy boy especially it was a Sunday morning when everyone went to play.

He felt like he was doing a very great job which needs extreme concentration which felt like an artist as he tries to whitewash the fence.

Little more :-

Tom made his friends believe that it was a very enjoyable and special task which made the boys were so eager to paint the fence.

The boys wanted to whitewash it so badly that they even gave him a lot of items such as :-

Twelve marbles, a piece of chalk, a piece of blue glass to see through, a key that wouldn't unlock anything, a tin soldier, six fire crackers, a kitten with only one eye, a dog collar but no dog, the handle of a knife, and a number of things in the same kind.
