1- Land affects the growth of ration as different kinds of vegetation grow on mountains, plateaus, plains and in desert. For example, a variety of grasslands and woodlands develop on mountains and uneven terrains.

2- Virgin vegetation refers to a plant community which has grown naturally without human and has been left undisturbed by humans for a long time. This type of vegetation is also termed as natural vegetation. The virgin vegetation, which are purely Indian are known as endemic or indigenous species but those which have come from outside India at termed as exotic plants.
