How much will Rs. 25,000 amount to in 2 years at com- pound interest, if the rates for the successive years be 4 and 5 per cent per year?

so the answer is -:

amount = 25000

We need 2 year compound interest so we find 2 year interest

1st rate = 4% (25000×4/100 = 1000)

so 1st year interest is = 1000 (cause it is compound interest so the amount wii become 26000)

second year rate = 5%

now second year interest = 26000×5/100 = 1300

so overall compound Interest of 2 year is = 1000+1300=2300

and new amount (after 2 year) = 27,300

25000, t = 2 years, r = 4%, 5% successively. Hence, Amount = Rs. 27300.
