Required solution :-

Radiation

Radiation is the energy from a source that travels through space or other mediums in the form of waves or particles.

Forms of radiation includes: Light, heat, microwaves and wireless communications etc. These can include:

  • Particle Radiation: Alpha radiation, beta radiation, neutron radiation.
  • Gravitational Radiation: Gravitational waves, ripples in the curvature of space-time.
  • Electromagnetic radiation: Radio waves, x-rays, gamma radiation.
  • Acoustic Radiation: Ultra sound radiation, seismic waves.

Radiation is divided into two as given below:

  • Ionizing Radiation
  • Non-ionizing Radiation

Ionizing Radiation:

Ionizing radiation is a energy that travels in the form of electromagnetic waves which is released by the atoms. They ionize atoms and molecules and break chemical bonds. These radiation consist of microwave radiation, infrared radiation radio waves etc.

Non-ionizing Radiation:

Non-ionizing radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation does not carry enough energy per quantum to cause ionization. They consists of alpha particles, beta particles, and gamma particles
