QuestioN :

What do you think about the dowry system in India?

ANswer :

→ Dowry system in India is running for a long time, it is like money which we give during marriage to the boy or their family, even property also can be included under dowry.

→ Some people even think dowry is like crime, it's illegal and they never ask anything from the bride family.

→ The dowry system can put great financial burden on the bride's family.

→ In some cases, the dowry system leads to crime against women, ranging from emotional abuse and injury to even deaths.

→ Although Indian laws against dowries have been in effect for decades, they have been largely criticised as being ineffective.

Hope it will help you: ❤️

❥ According to me we should not call it “dowry-system.” it’s not a system, it’s a mayhem. You should call it a “dowry-chaos,” or “dowry-insanity.”

❥ It is a mayhem in which during marriage a bridegroom family asks for money, property and stuff cuz they are talking their girl to their house

❥ It’s a very-cheap and evil way to handle young women. It’s downright-inhuman. A husband (or his parents) has no right to ask or torture a beautiful, intelligent girl for money. It’s a marriage, not a trade. A woman has absolutely no justification for destroying her daughter-in-law for material benefits. As for burning a sweet girl: I ask all evil people: WHO HAS GIVEN YOU THE RIGHTS TO BURN SOMEONE?! JUST WHO ARE YOU?! There are limits to malevolence! It is strange that a human kills another human for money, in the name of a “tradition.” As long as dowries and dowry-burning exist in India, this country will never improve! The Prime-Minister must appoint a special, unbiased person as a Crime-Minister, to eradicate the dowry-lunacies!

Regards

Pragati ❤️
