Henry was famous for his short stories. His stories deal with the life of the people in New York City. He was also called the American answer to Guy de Maupassant. Both the authors wrote plot twist endings but O. Hengry's stories were considerably more playful.

→ O. Hengry was an American short story author. His real name was William Sydney Porter. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina in September 11, 1862 and died in the year 1910. In 1902, he moved to Texas where he met his wife, Athol Estes. O. Henry wrote 381 short stories.

He is a master of surprising endings, and he usually design story plots dramatically, and makes some unexpected changes at the end, which is quite out of readers' expectations.
