Answer:The question wants us to find out that group of force that can keep the box aligned with respect to the cylinder.

Taking my above statement in consideration, the Piston /box should have equilibrium in the x -axis.

So , find out the components of all the forces along x -axis.

component of F1 along x axis is

F1*cos(30°) = (√3/2)*F1

Again, component of F2 along x -axis

= F2* cos(60°) = 1/2*F2.

similarly, F3 is directed along x axis.

Now, considering equilibrium along x axis :

(√3/2)*F1 = (1/2)*F2 + F3

=> √3*F1 = F2 +2*F3

SO OPTION 1) IS THE ANSWER

Answer:

Option - A

Explanation:

Given:

→ Mr.A , B and C are trying to put a heavy piston into a cylinder at a mechanical workshop in a railway ward.

Hence

→ First we take horizontal compount of forces.

→ F1 sin 30° , F2 cos 60° and F3 are the horizontal forces.

→ F1 = x - axis = F1 cos 30° = √ 312 × F1

→ F2 = x - axis = F2 cos 60° = √ 2 + F2

→ F3 is with x - axis directly.

Now,

→ 3 √3 / 2 × F1 = ( 1 / 2 ) × F2 + F3

→ √3 × F1 = F2 + 2 × F3
