it has been found that the land plants die if their roots remain waterlogged for a considerable time. This is because too much water expelse all the air from in - between the soil particles. Due to this oxygen is not available to the roots for aerobic respiration. Under this condition the roots will respite anaerobically producing alcohol and this kill the plant.

2) The sudden build up of lactic acid in our muscles during vigorous physical activities can cause muscles cramps.
