The condition for a unique solution is given by :

\dfrac{a_1}{a_2}\ne \dfrac{b_1}{b_2} a2a1=b2b1

Here, a, = 4, b, = p, c, = 8 and

 a_{2} = 2, b_{2} = 2 and c_{2} = 2 Putting the values in above condition we get :

\begin{gathered}\dfrac{4}{2}\ne \dfrac{p} {2}\\\\p\ne 4\end{gathered}24=2pp=4

The value of b is not equal to 4. It means p can take any value other than 4.
