At the stroke, of the midnight hour, when world sleeps India will awake to the life and freedom. These words spoken by Pt. Jawaharled Neheru reached the ears of every Indian alive and dead, who fought and dreamt of an Independent India. When clock struck 12 on 15th August, 1947, every citizens of the then British owned India, united and was thereby knowns as the citizen of free Indiath 15th August is an historical day for India. This day. after a long and hard struggle, Indis won freedom from the clutches of the Britishers. It was a unique wear. of mon-violence which was led by great leaders like. Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Lala Rajhat Rais Sulchash Chandra Bose., & Bhagat Singh etc. It was a result of the sacrifice of selfless leaders and people, who dedicated their lives for future generation.The The Independence day reminds us the dedication. suffering and struggle of our freedom fighters and leaders who gave India, the freedom. It is our duty to protect the freedom of our country for this we should. remain united and work for the progress of the country.
