ABCD is a parallelogram have adjacent sides AB=16cm and BC=14cm . if the area is 168cm^2, find the distance between it's longer sides and that between it's shorter sides.

 \bold{\underline{\fbox{Answer}}}

Longer side = 16 cm

Let distance between longer sides be "h",

Since, Area = 168 m²

16 × h = 168

h =  \sf{\frac{168}{16}}

= 10.5 cm

Shorter side = 14 cm

Let distance between shorter side be   h_{2}

Since, area = 168 m²

14  h_{2} = 168

 h_{2} =  \sf{\frac{168}{14}}

= 12 cm
