- The tumbler doesn't provide as much as surface area as the bowl does
- Similarly the water needs surface area not shallowness and so the shallow dish no matter what it is made up of doesn't help
- Also Evaporation is dependent on wind, temperature, humidity of the environment etc...
- As the surface area increases there will be more particles that are exposed to the environment
- These cases like temperature, wind etc.. help those particles in gaining kinetic energy
- As they gain more and more kinetic energy they will be able to escape from the intermolecular force and become a vapour
