The camel is the symbol of the desert. It is the most suitable I means of transport and beast of burden in the desert as it remarkably adapts itself to the rough conditions. It can survive on less water for long durations. When water is available, it can store it in padded large volumes in its body. It has feet, which protects the feet from being burnt in the scorching heat of the hot wand. Its hairy eyelashes and ears prevent wand and gritty materials from entering the eyes all, camels are known as the ship of the Deser eyes. So because of all these reasons, camels are known as the 'Ship of the Desert'.
