1) Given :

⬤ In Supplementary angle , One angle is greater than other by 40° .

To Find :

⬤ All Angles .

Solution :

Let :

  • One angle be x .
  • Other angle be x + 40

As we know that , Sum of Supplementary angles are 180 degree . Hence ,

\sf{x+x+40=180^{\circ}}

2x + 40 = 180

2x = 180 - 40

2x = 140

x = 140/2

x = 70

Therefore , The Value of x is 70 .

Hence ,

One Angle = x

= 70

Other Angle = x + 40

= 70 + 40

= 110

Therefore , The two angles are 70° and 110° .

2) Given :

⬤ Perimeter of Triangle = 45 cm

⬤ Sides of triangle are in the Ratio 2:4:3 .

To Find :

⬤ Measure of all Sides .

Solution :

Let :

  • Three Sides of triangle be 2x , 4x and 3x .

Now :

\sf{2x+4x+3x=45}

9x = 45

x = 45/9

x = 5

Therefore , The Value of x is 5 .

Hence ,

First Angle = 2x

= 2(5)

= 10

Second Angle = 4x

= 4(5)

= 20

Third Angle = 3x

= 3(5)

= 15

Therefore , The three Sides of a triangle are 10 cm , 20 cm and 15 cm .
