C) Assertion is true but reason is false.

Reason:

Types of plastids:

  1. Chromoplast (coloured)
  2. Leucoplast (white or colourless)
  3. Chloroplast (contains chlorophyll)

Chromoplasts: They lack chlorophyll but contain carotenoids which are responsible for different colours of some flowers and fruits.

Leucoplasts: These are non pigmented organelles i.e. they have no colour at all. They are helpful in storage of starch and oil.

Chloroplasts: They contain photosynthetic pigment chlorophyll which gives green colour to plant parts and helps in the process of photosynthesis.

Here, the reason states that– "Chromoplast that contain chlorophyll....." but clearly chromoplast lacks chlorophyll.

❤️Your answer is Option C Sista . ❤️

Easiest Explanation is that we know that plastids aur of three types but in assertion if we see clearly and analyse the statement we can see that it is said that which are of two types but here only word is not mentioned . So we can conclude that the assertion is correct . Secondly in reason it is given that chromoplast that contain chlorophyll but we know that chromoplast don't contain chlorophyll so reason is false and assertion is true
