In India, apartheid is invalid according to laws and rules but if it comes on the mindsets of few conservative people then it can be said that there is colour prejudice in our country. Anti socialising with those who are black in complexion or having different complexion in comparison to others is not a loyal activity.
In South Africa, apartheid is a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of complexion. Even today also this practice is on perpetuation. People are allocated on the base and restrictions of colour. Many substantial laws of this colour prejudiced society are also being imposed on people. Victims of this practice are not allowed to socialise with others except people who are of same category. Brutal behaviour is also to be faced by these people.
There is the obligatory requirement of change in mindsets of people. Only then this illegal practice can be prevented. A country can only be led ahead if its citizens are following laws and rules and having unity with each other. In India, colour prejudice is still there but soon it may be prevented when the conservative mindsets of people would be changed.

I don’t think the color prejudice problem in our country exists. There are various reasons behind it.
1. The first reason is our Constitution. It ensures complete freedom to its citizens irrespective of color, class, religion, etc. If anyone were to discriminate against anyone on the basis of color, that person could be in trouble legally.
2 . Secondly, the people in our country our predominantly swarthy. In the south, people predominantly are of dark complexion. This dark complexion is common. So people don’t discriminate or have prejudices against dark complexion.
3 . Most of God avatar such as Shiva, Rama, Krishna, Vishnu, etc. were dark skinned . So, dark color is considered auspicious.
So, in conclusion it can be said there is no color prejudice in our country.
