 \huge \underline \mathbb \pink{answer}

An atmosphere is a layer or a set of layers of gases surrounding a planet or other material body, that is held in place by the gravity of that body. An atmosphere is more likely to be retained if the gravity it is subject to is high and the temperature of the atmosphere is low.

Answer:

An atmosphere is a thick blanket layer covering around the earth's surface , the atmosphere helps the earth to protect ultraviolet Ray's from sun to reaching the earth which can harm our living organisms and our ecosystems

Our earth has an atmospheric pressure of 1013.27 millibars

THE VARIOUS LAYERS OF ATMOSPHERE

  • The first layer that innermost of atmosphere is Troposphere this layer is 15 kms in the height from our earth's surface , all the weather phenomenon takes place here such as rain, spring , summer , winter
  • The 2nd layer of atmosphere is Stratosphere , this layer has a width of 50kms from the surface of earth and this layer consists ozone sphere which helps to reflect away harmful ultraviolet rays from Sun's mass ejection , this Stratosphere contains dryness clouds which deflects our the green effects
  • the 3rd layer is Mesosphere, here the temperature is 90 ° C , which is coldest here .and many deposit of ions consists which helps in communications via radio waves, this layer stretches 250 km from earth's surface
  • the 4th layer is Thermosphere , this layer stretches 1000 km from the earth's surface. This layer burns up meteorites and causes friction , here the pressures is very dense
  • And the last outermost layer is Exosphere , stretches 1500 km from earth's surface, here all satellites of man made communicate and electrical signals or systems navigations

here ISS - International Space Station also

orbiting earth in this layer

Hope it helps u .
