Answer:

Total number of student = 56

Let the number of Girls be = x

Then number of boys will be= 2/5x.

According to question:-x+2/5 x = 56(5/5)x+ (2/5)x = 56 {by taking LCM}(7/5)x = 567x = 56×5x = 56×5/7x = 8×5 {56 is divided by 7}x = 40

So, number of girls = x= 40Number of boys = 2/5 × x= 2/5 × 40= 2 × 8= 16Hope it helps.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let , the number of Girls = x

so , boys 2/5 of girls so boys = 2x/5

Now , Total student are X+ 2x/5 =56

(5X+2X)/5=56

7X/5=56

X= 56×5/7

X= 40

so Girls X= 40

so boys 2/5 of girls = 40×2/5 =16
