Answer:

given: p(x) = 3x² + Kx + 2 and - b/a = 7/3

to find: value of x

a = 3, b = k and c = 2

- b/a = 7/3 => - b = 7 => b = -7 => k

therefore p(x) = 3x² - 7x + 2

=> 3x² - 6x - x + 2 = 0

=> x = 1/3 and x = 2

=> 3x (x - 2) - 1(x - 2) = 0

=> (3x - 1)(x - 2) = 0

=> 3x - 1 = 0 => x = 1/3

=> x - 2 = 0 => x = 2

=> therefore x = 2 and x = 1/3
