Answer:

if α and β are the zeroes of the polynomial

p(x)=16x² +4x -5

sum of roots = α + β = -4/16 = -1/4

product of roots = α.β= -5/16

to find

1/α + 1/β

= ( α + β )/ α β

put their values

= -1/4÷ -5/16

= 1/4 x 16/5

= 4/5
