People sitting at their homes can have connections anywhere and everywhere in the world. Social media platforms have expanded opportunities for learning and interactivity. Generations use this to exchange, get, or give information about different topics. Social media has gained rapid prominence within a few years of its existence It is generally the medium to socialize.

$\sf\underline\red{Advantages\::}\:$ Social media allows people to communicate and remain in contact no matter where they are . It allows us to find people with similar interests as ours. It is also a platform to showcase our talent. These sites allow the businessman to start a business over social media and advertise it. Students and learners use it to gain knowledge and ask their queries. It enhances communication speed. It builds confidence among individuals and boosts the participation of communities and organizations and several events. Such sites help people to identify their own selves i.e recognizing themselves. One can use it for a noble cause. It improves mental health and is also a path to save lives.

This happens because it makes us compare ourselves with others which often end up exhausting our very own selves. It leads to disturbance in sleep patterns. It creates a barrier to clear communication in real life. Its addiction is too injurious. It tends to be more addictive than liquors and cigarettes. It causes low self-esteem and has many drawbacks. It is the biggest distraction for you. It negatively affects our emotional state. It affects physical health as well. Also leads to eye-straining.

What side we face depends on how we use it and our mindsets related to it. Using it in a useful manner can be proved great to improve our skills whereas if used negatively can destroy our lives.
