Answer: We as people can say whatever we want about ourselves, but it's what we do that really determines who we are.

Explanation: If I say I don't lie, but when my wife asks if her behind looks big in a pair of pants and I tell a white lie then don't I lie? If I make an excuse for said lie by saying it was a white lie and therefore acceptable, then not only am I willing to lie, but will not take responsibility for that lie. Therefore, can I be trusted as being an honest person? My words said I don't lie , but what I did was lie. And then justified, or made right that lie, instead of claiming I might be wrong. I am therefore not an honest person, even though I said I was because if I will do that with a little thing, I'd most likely do it with something big. Everyone makes mistakes, but sometimes the difference between a mistake and a lie is an apology.
