Answer :-

Given :-

  • Product of C and 3 is B

To Find :-

  • Value of sum of C and 3 in terms of B.

Solution :-

We are given that,

→ C × 3 = B

→ 3C = B -i

Now, we are asked to find sum of C and 3 i.e. C + 3 in terms of B.

From the equation i :-

→ 3C = B

Transposing 3 to RHS :-

→ C = B / 3

Simply subtituting the value of C in terms of B :-

→ C + 3 = B / 3 + 3

Hence, option E is correct.

Additional information :-

Real numbers :- Numbers which can be represented on number line are called real numbers.

Product :- Result of multiplication of numbers is called product.

Sum :- Result of addition of numbers is called sum.

QuestioN :

For all real numbers b and c such that the product of c and 3 is b, the expression which represents the sum of c and 3 in terms of b is

GiveN :

  • Product of C and 3 is B

To FiNd :

  • The sum of c and 3 in terms of b is?

ANswer :

The sum of c and 3 in terms of b is \sf \dfrac{b}{3}+3

SolutioN :

In the question, it is given that the product of c and 3 is b.

Thus, 3 c = b   \sf \rightarrow   ( 1 )

\sf \therefore c = \dfrac b3

Now, we have to find the sum of c and 3:

\sf \implies c+3=\dfrac{b}{3} +3

∴Hence, The sum of c and 3 in terms of b is \sf \dfrac{b}{3}+3.
