Actually Welcome to the Concept of the Electrolysis and Electroplating.

Now, if we closely look behind the concept of the Electroplating , it is same as the Electrolysis such that, the ions from the Solution break down due to the Current passing through the Electrolyte Solution and Gets deposited on the target Electrode metal.

Now basically in this process the the , the Target metal that has to be electroplated is kept on the Cathode and the metal which has to be deposited is kept on the position of Anode.

When the process starts The cations associate with the anions in the solution. These cations are reduced at the cathode to deposit in the metallic, zero valence state.

Thus the Target metal gets deposited with the Desired layer of the metal.

⭐Example:- Copper plating of a tap or a Utensil.

Gold plating of jewellery,etc.
