then,

According to Question :-

x - 10% of x = 30

x - 10x/100 = 30

x - x/10 = 30

(10x - x) /10 = 30

Answer :

The required number is 33.3.

\bold{\underline{Explanation}}

We have 10 percent less of a specific number equal to 30.

Let the specific number be x.

As declared in the question, 10 percent less of (indicates multiplication) our assumed specific number x is 30.

=> \sf{\dfrac{10}{100}\:\times\:x\:-x = 30}

=> \sf{\dfrac{10x}{100}\:-x\:=30}

=> \sf{\dfrac{10x-100x}{100} =30}

=> \sf{\dfrac{90x}{100}\:=30}

=> \sf{90x=30\:\times\:100}

=> \sf{90x=3000}

=> \sf{x\:=\:\dfrac{3000}{90}}

=> \sf{x=\:\dfrac{300}{9}}

=> \sf{x=33.3}

Peace! :)
