Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden, whose
length is 4 m more than its width, is 36 m. Find the dimensions of the garden.
Draw the graphs of the equations x – y + 1 = 0 and 3x + 2y – 12 = 0. Determine the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle formed by these lines and the x-axis, and shade the triangular region.

Here is your Answer,
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
Given,
- Half perimeter of rectangular garden = 36m
- Let width = x m
Now according to Question
- Length = x+4 m
Half perimeter of rectangular garden = 1/2×2(l+b)
=> 1/2×2(x+4+x) = 36 m
=> 2x+4 = 36 m
=> 2x = 32 m
=> x = 16 m
Now , dimensions are
Length = x+4 = 16+4 = 20m
Width = x = 16 m.
