THE EDITOR,

HINDUSTAN TIMES

ADDRESS 47,

NEW DELHI.

Dear Sir/Madam.

Subject: Limited use of subways in Delhi.

Sir,

I am an ardent reader of your esteemed daily and through the columns of your newspaper I wish to draw attention to the fact that subways in Delhi are seldom used by pedestrians.

A few months ago, the Delhi Municipal Corporation build several subways throughout Delhi considering the deluge of requests made by numerous people. Now, the condition is that the subways are mostly devoid of any pedestrians. One can hardly see a soul using these subways. I would advise all pedestrians to use these subways. Firstly, the subways were build for pedestrians. Secondly, they ensure safety of those walking in them. In today's world, walking next to the road is equivalent to putting your life on stake. Lastly, these subways offer shade from the scorching sun especially during summer. Walking in the open might lead to problems like strokes and dehydration.

I urge all pedestrians to start using these subways immediately. Using these will not all benefit pedestrians but will also prevent the government's money from going in vain. I hope my letter finds a place in your newspaper.

Your's sincerely

Subject : To create awareness about the increase of accidents and traffic jams because of seldom usage of Subways.

Respected Sir,

I read your newspaper everyday. Today, through the esteemed column of your newspaper, I would like to create create awareness among people about accidents and traffic jams.

Nowadays, everyone knows that accident and traffic jams are increasing day by day. In Delhi, most of the accidents and traffic jams are increasing because of the seldom usage of subways. Subways are the passage made for the pedestrians but they are not oftenly used. Instead, most of the pedestrians use the roads. Hence, if there's even a bit traffic, accident occurs.

If the common people get aware about it, the increment can be stopped. Hence, it will be better if you print an article highlighting this topic to aware the commoners of Delhi. I hope you will help me by doing so.

Yours sincerely,

Vaanya.
