Answer:

Cell membrane :-

Structure :-

The cell membrane is also called as plasma membrane is a thin semi-permeable membrane that surrounds the cytoplasm of the cell. It is a double layer of proteins and lipids. The basic structure of cell membrane is called as the lipid bilayer. Phospholipids are the main component of the cell membrane. In addition, it also contains glycolipids and sterols. The lipid bilayer is embedded with proteins.

Function:-

The function of the cell membrane it regulates the entry of minerals, acts as a receptor, protects the cell, regulates the transport of substances in and out of the cell. It also plays a role in signalling and communication.

Cell Wall :-

Structure

cell wall is a structural layer surrounding some types of cells, just outside the cell membrane. It can be tough, flexible, and sometimes rigid. It provides the cell with both structural support and protection, and also acts as a filtering mechanism.

Function :-

  • cell wall is the outer most protective layer of a plant cell, bacterial cell or fungi.
  • It prevents the entry of pathogens into the cell.
  • It provides a specific shape to the cell.
  • It maintains the shape of the cell.
  • It prevents the cell from bursting by applying wall pressure.

Cell Membrane is also known as plasma membrane. It is present in all the cells.

 \large{ \underline{ \sf{ \star \: {Structure: - }}}}

Cell membrane is a thin and delicate membrane. It is made up of lipid or protein.

 \large{ \underline{ \sf{ \star \: {Function : -  }}}}

  • It sorrounds the ce containts.
  • It separates one cell from the other.
  • It regulates the entry and exit of selected materials in according to need . Due to this nature, it is called selective preamble membrane.

Cell wall is hard and rigid structure made up of cellulose in plants.

 \large{ \underline{ \sf{ \star \: {Functions : - }}}}

  • It provides rigidity and protection to the cells.
  • It also gives definite shape and size.
  • It provides support to the cell.
