This solution is by Spiral Method.

Step 1: Draw a number line and mark a point O.

Step 2: Mark a point A such that OA= 1 unit.

Step 3: Draw a right triangle OAB such that AB= 1 unit.

Step 4: By Pythagoras theorem, OB= √1^2+1^2 = √2 units. Draw a line BC perpendicular to OB such that BC= 1.

Step 5: Join OC. Thus, OBC is a right triangle. Again, by Pythagoras theorem, we have OC=√(√2)^2+1^2= √3 units.

Step 6: With center O and radius OC draw a circle which meets the number line at the point E. OE= √3units. Thus, OE represent √3 on the number line.
