We can solve this by changing to the the common base:

\log_a (x) = \dfrac{\log_b(x)}{\log_b(x)}


So in this case, we change the base to 10:

\log_5 75 = \dfrac{\log 75}{log 5}

\log_5 75 = 2.68}


Answer: 2.68
