Earth's atmosphere is an invisible layer of gases plus water vapour and dust these all held close to the planet by force of gravity

the atmosphere act as filter it keeps out much of the sun harmful radiations while still letting in the solar heat which warm the earth and lower atmosphere. it also recycle the the supply of water

it have 5 layers

1 troposphere

2 stratosphere

3 mesosphere

4 thermosphere

5 exosphere
