Parallel Circuit wiring is preferred more than Series Wiring because of the following reasons:

° If there is a power cut then all the bulbs in a series circuit stops as there is no flow of current any more and the circuit is open. While in Parallel circuit even if one appliance stops working then the other works normally.

° The appliance can be used or can be switched off separately without affecting other appliances in Parallel Circuit while in Series Circuit, we can't switch off appliances separately as it will stop the circuit flow further.

° Current used is less in Parallel than that in Series Circuit.
