~ Placenta is a circular organ present in the Uterus of pregnant Mammal and developed during pregnancy. The placenta attaches to the wall of your uterus, and your baby's umbilical cord arises from it.

Function:-

~ It Exchange Gases and delivers oxygen to the fetus blood and remove carbon dioxide from the fetus.

~ helps in thermo-regulation and fighting infections , produces Hormone and removes waste products from the baby's blood.

~ helps to transport nutrients from mother's blood to foetus for its development.
