Following are four important ideals on which the Preamble to the Indian Constitution lays special emphasis:

Justice –

This ideal implies that citizens of India cannot be discriminated on the basis of caste, religion and gender. It entrusts the Government of India with the removal of social inequalities and the welfare of all, especially the disadvantaged groups. In The Constitution of India, nowhere the expression Natural Justice is used. However, golden thread of natural justice sagaciously passed through the body of Indian constitution. Preamble of the constitution includes the words, ‘Justice Social, Economic and political’ liberty of thought, belief, worship... And equality of status and of opportunity

Liberty –

This ideal establishes that there are no unreasonable restrictions on Indian citizens in terms of what they think, their manner of expression and the way they wish to follow up their thoughts in action.Article 21 of the Constitution of India, 1950 provides that, “No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law.” ... Thus, the bare necessities, minimum and basic requirements that is essential and unavoidable for a person is the core concept of right to life

Equality –

It asserts that all Indian citizens are equal before the law of the land. It recognises that the traditional social inequalities are irrelevant and the government is obliged to ensure equality of opportunity for all citizens.Article 14 of the constitution states that, the State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India.

Fraternity –

It means that all citizens should behave as if they are part of the same family. No one should treat a fellow citizen as inferior.According to preamble, the constitution of India has been pursuance of the solemn resolution of the people of India to constitute India into a 'Sovereign Democratic Republic', and to secure well defined objects set forth in the preamble. Sovereignty denotes supreme and ultimate power
