a-b = 7 => a = 7+b

Also, 6b + a = 77

=> 6b + 7 + b = 77

=> 7b = 70

=> b = 10.

The two numbers are 10 and 17.

Answer:

Let the bigger no. be x and smaller no. be y.

According to the first

condition

x - y = 7..............a

According to the second condition

x + 6y = 77 ............b

Now, Subtracting the equation a from b.

➡️ x + 6y = 77

- ( x - y = 7)

7y = 70

y = 70/7

y = 10.............c

substituting c in a

x - 10 = 7

x = 7 + 10

x = 17

The two number,10 and 17
