let assume -

let the age of nilu be x years

then age of Mrs. Jain will be (x+27)years

after 8 years-

age of nilu will be x+8 years

age of Mrs. Jain will be x+8+27 = x+35 years

given -

Mrs Jain will be twice as old as neelu

solution -

x + 35 = 2(x + 8)

x + 35 = 2x + 16

2x - x = 35 - 16

x = 19

then age of Mrs. Jain will be=

x + 27 = 19 +27 = 46 years

therefore -

age of neelu = 19

age of Mrs. jain= 46
