Sublimation is the process of conversion of a solid directly to a gas without transforming into liquid state.
Substances that undergo sublimation are ammonium chloride, camphor, dry ice, etc

When a substance changes its state from solid to directly gas or vapors without changing into liquid is known as sublimation.

For example, when we put napthalene balls in winter cloths, after sometime they disappear as they undergo sublimation.
