Explanation:

Without enough light, a plant cannot photosynthesise very quickly - even if there is plenty of water and carbon dioxide and a suitable temperature.

  • Light has a manifold effect on the rate of photosynthesis. With the increase in the light intensity, the rate of photosynthesis increases. Except on a cloudy day, light is never a limiting factor in nature. For photosynthesis the visible range of the spectrum (between 350 to 750 mm) is essential. Maximum photosynthesis occurs in red part and minimum in green part of the spectrum. Ultraviolet light has a lethal effect on plants if the exposure is for a prolonged period.

Hope this helps ☺️
