The Golgi apparatus is an organelle present in most eukaryotic cells. It is made up of membrane-bound sacs, and is also called a Golgi body, Golgi complex, or dictyosome. The job of theGolgi apparatus is to process and bundle macromolecules like proteins and lipids as they are synthesized within the cell

<b><i>Heya !

Here's your answer !!

______________________________

\bf{\underline{STRUCTURE}}

The Golgi Apparatus, consists of a system of membrane-bound vesicles arranged parallel to each other called cisterns.

\underline{\bf{FUNCTIONS}}

The materials synthesised near ER ( Endoplasmic Reticulum ) is packed and dispatched to various targets inside and outside the cell through the Golgi Apparatus.

Its functions include the storage, modification and packaging of products in vesicles.

The Golgi Apparatus is also involved in the formation of lysosomes.
