           ILLITERACY

Illiteracy refers to the inability of someone to read and write. It is one of the major causes of poverty and ignorance between the vast majority of the Indian community.

There are many people who have never had the opportunity to go to formal education, mainly due to poverty and, sometimes, due to family history.

Education and literacy A student receives strong will and willful will what he wants. Students with such confidence are successful in their efforts.

Answer:

Being able to read and write is the basics of life and one who does not know how to read or write is called an illiterate.

Illiteracy is very high in India and it definitely effects in the growth of the nation too.

It is truly a shame to know that a country like India, which is known as the land of Vedas and that which gave epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana, still remains to be illiterate.

One of the main reasons for such a high percentage of illiteracy in India is due to unemployment, female foeticide, child labor etc.

hope it helps...!!!!
