See first the sum of 5p can be written as (13-8)p

And product of -104 = 13x-8

So,

P^2+5p-104

=> P^2+13p-8p-104

=>p(p+13)-8(p+13)

=> (p-8)(p+13)

Therefore, P can be either +8 or -13 which satisfies the equation p^2+5p-104

\huge{Answer:}

p² + 5p - 104

= p² + ( 13 - 8 ) p - 104

= p² + 13p - 8p - 104

= p ( p + 13 ) - 8 ( p + 13 )

= ( p + 13 ) ( p - 8 )
