1. curry contains turmeric which is a natural indicator.when the stain is washed with soap the turmeric indicator present on the stain reacts with the soap which is a base and turns in red in colour.

2. after eating a lot of spicy food when the food enters into the stomach it turns acidic in nature. so drinking orange juice is not advisable because of it acidic nature which triggers the acidity causing more more burning sensation.

hence it is advised to take base to neutralize the acidity.
