Answer:

Area \: of \: trapezium \:  =  \frac{1}{2} (ad \:  + bc \: ) \times ab

24.5 =  \frac{1}{2} (10 + 4) \times 4

h = 3.5cm

Area \: of \: quadrant \: ABE \:  =  \frac{90°}{360°}  \times \pi(3.5) {}^{2} sq.m

 = 9.625sq.m

Area \: of \: shaded \: region \:  = 24.5 - 9.625 \\  = 14.875sq.m

  • Solve the question given in the attachment.

\star\:\:\:\sf\large\underline\blue{Solution:-}

Here,

AD=BC=10cm.

AB=?

Area = 24.5cm²

Or,

24.5 = 1/2 * (10+4)*AB

Or,

AB=24.5/7=3.5cm.

Area of quadrant ABE

=90/360 * π * 3.5^2 cm²

=9.625cm²

Therefore, area of the shaded region

=24.5-9.625cm²

=14.875cm²
