Winter is the best season for enjoying a picnic . Last January ten members of three families - ours four , Abir's three and Kitty's three - ten in all went to Bandel - Church for a picnic . It was a Sunday. Early in the morning parents of our three families and I and my younger sister Rumki ,Abir and kutty started in a hired - vehicle for our destination . The picnic spot was on the bank of the Hooghly . At first we visited the historical monument - Bandel church . It was a memorial of the Portuguese settlement in Bangal . My father and Abir's father told us the old history of the church . We then engaged ourselves in various outdoor games - cricket , volleyball , musical chair etc. Our food was ready. We all had a good feast . In the evening we returned home with a tired body but a heavy mind .I would always remember the day as a memorable day in my life .

Enjoying A Picnic

The picnic is a source of pleasure and enjoyment. The hours spent in a picnic are always exciting and thrilling. Last month I along with some of my friends had a picnic at Mondragon, a place of historical interest. On the fixed day, we hired a minibus to go to the picnic spot. We took all the necessary foodstuff and utensils with us. We started for the place at 8 a.m. finishing our breakfast. We reached sonnargaon at 10.30 a.m. after visiting the nearby area, we sat down to give our food. We ate to our heart’s content. Our artists amused us with their music. Then we went toy cist the folk art museum of sonargaon. Thing tickets, we entered the main area. We visited all the historical relics and saw famous things. We also visited the palace of Ishakha. One of our friends took several snaps of the important sights. We also played cricket there for about 30 minutes. We returned home just after the evening prayer. It was really an enjoyable picnic.
