There were many inventions which are categorised as follows:-

  1. First of all, the invention that took place is steam engine, which was most crucial transport system of that time.
  2. Telephone was invented (Alexander Graham Bell) at that time, which was used lately for vocal communication. It was in 2 parts - one to tell, and another to hear, unlike that we have one to listen as well as hear.
  3. As it was the industrial revolution, Factories were introduces which were worked upon by poor labourers.
  4. In the production houses, Spinning Jenny was introduced which brought misery in life of the working people, as if machines were equipped, they will ruin their earnings.
  5. New inventions and materials included introduction to Aluminium, Steel and Iron in making the materials like machines.
  6. Telegraph offices were introduced in the Americas, and later used worldwide.
  7. Power loom came into light, hand to hand with the spinning jenny.
  8. Usage of electricity in the machines, along with petroleum and coal fuels, and automobiles were introduced (Cars like Vintage)

These were the inventions during the 1st Industrial Revolution, where Britain was in the lead and prospered, allowing expansion.
