*There is more wheat cultivation than rice cultivation because it is a staple food since 6000 years and whereas in rice it is more labour intensive and needs more cost and time whereas in wheat , it needs less water and cost for its cultivation compared rice crop

*It is very sensitive to the climate soil type, irrigation , fertilizers, insects. Moreover, they require a lot of water for their growth so it need to be grown on a land where it can absorb maximum amount of water. Thus they only grow on the lands where temperature is favorably high
